Definition

Cookies are information placed on an Internet user's terminal equipment by the server of the website visited. They are used by a website to send information to the Internet user's browser and allow this browser to send information back to the original site (for example a session identifier or the choice of a language).

Only the issuer of a cookie can read or modify the information contained therein.

There are several kinds of cookies:

  • session cookies which disappear as soon as you leave the site;
  • permanent cookies that remain on your device until their lifespan expires or until you delete them using your browser features.

You are informed that, during your visits to this site, cookies may be installed on your terminal equipment.

Purposes of cookies used

Some of the cookies used by Airparif have the exclusive purpose of enabling or facilitating electronic communication (detection of connection errors, identification of connection points, etc.). Others are strictly necessary for the provision of online communication services at your express request (shopping cart, screen display preferences, etc.).

Still others are used for the purpose:

  • to analyze the traffic and use made of the site, in order to make it evolve in the direction of improving the browsing experience;
  • to make the site more user-friendly and interactive;

What cookies do we use?

Content to come.

  • Third-party cookies

On the other hand, Airparif uses services offered by third parties (like the share buttons on Facebook)

  • Audience measurement

The Airparif website allows visitors to be counted and identified how they use the site. This is a statistical tool that allows Airparif to improve its website by taking into account the needs of visitors.

The data generated by these cookies concerns:

  • your use of the site such as the pages you have visited;
  • your IP address to determine the connection city. This data is immediately anonymized after location and is not communicated to Airparif.

Consent

During your first visit to our site, you are asked to accept or refuse the use of certain cookies.

If you do not want cookies to be installed or read on your terminal equipment, a refusal cookie will be placed on your equipment, so that Airparif records the information according to which you have objected to the use of cookies. If you delete this refusal cookie, it will no longer be possible to identify you as having refused the use of cookies.

Likewise, when you accept the use of cookies, a consent cookie is installed.

Consent or refusal cookies must remain on your terminal equipment. You can modify your wishes at any time as indicated in the following section entitled "Cookie management."

Cookie management

You have several options for deleting and managing cookies and other trackers.

Browser settings

If most browsers are set by default and accept the installation of cookies, you have the possibility, if you wish, to choose to accept all cookies, to reject them systematically or to choose those which you accept according to their issuer. You can also regularly delete cookies from your device via your browser.

However, don't forget to configure all the browsers on your different terminals (tablets, smartphones, computers, etc.).

For the management of cookies and your choices, the configuration of each browser is different. It is described in the help menu of your browser, which will allow you to know how to modify your cookie preferences. For exemple :

  • Publisher opposition modules

You can choose to deactivate certain third-party cookies by going directly to the issuer's page. So :

to deactivate Google Analytics cookies, go to the page: https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=fr

  • Opposition platforms

Several advertising professional platforms also offer you the possibility of refusing or accepting cookies used by their member companies. These centralized mechanisms do not block the display of advertisements but only prevent the installation of cookies allowing advertisements to be adapted to your interests.

For example, you can go to the site www.youronlinechoices.com to prohibit the installation of these cookies on your terminal. This site is offered by digital advertising professionals grouped within the European association EDAA (European Digital Advertising Alliance) and managed in France by the Interactive Advertising Bureau France.

You will thus be able to know the companies registered on this platform and which offer you the possibility of refusing or accepting the cookies used by these companies to adapt the advertisements likely to be displayed on your terminal to your browsing information: http://www.youronlinechoices.com/fr/controler-ses-cookies/.

This European platform is shared by hundreds of advertising professionals on the Internet and constitutes a centralized interface allowing you to express your refusal or your acceptance of cookies likely to be used in order to adapt the navigation of your terminal to the advertisements that may be displayed there.
