General information on indoor air

The air in indoor environments is influenced by indoor pollution sources, as well as the transfer of outdoor pollution.

By car

The car is not a cocoon or an anti-pollution shield. The air intakes are close to the exhaust pipes. The motorist is thus the first victim of pollution linked to road traffic.

Metro and RER stations

Underground metro and RER stations are part of so-called indoor environment locations: closed spaces that are not directly connected to the outside air.

In the office

Studies on indoor air quality in offices are fewer than those in schools, but awareness is real.

Indoor air quality in schools and nurseries

The air in schools presents specificities, particularly in terms of compulsory monitoring.

Indoor air quality at home

The home is the indoor environment where we spend most of the day, hence the importance of controlling indoor air quality.
